What we do
We supply it, install it, and keep it running.
Supply
Sanitary napkin machines, first aid kits, surgical instruments, surgical disposables, endoscopy towers, hospital equipment across ten departments, and furniture. Quoted line by line against your own list.
See what we supplyService
AMC and CMC contracts, breakdown repair, preventive maintenance and calibration. Around ninety per cent of the equipment we maintain was bought from someone else.
See our servicesTurnkey projects
Modular operation theatres, medical gas pipeline systems and complete ICU build-outs, handed over ready to use.
See turnkey projectsMaintenance cover
Three ways to keep it running.
Most hospitals we quote end up on both: critical care on a CMC, general wards on an AMC, one contract covering the lot. There is no rule that every machine has to sit under the same cover.
AMC
Annual maintenance contract
Newer equipment, non-critical departments
- Scheduled preventive visits
- Breakdown attendance
- Engineer labour
- Calibration, where applicable
- Service reports and history sheets
Spare parts are quoted, approved and billed as they fail, at a contract rate below list price.
Budget
Fixed labour cost, variable parts cost
CMC
Most coverComprehensive maintenance contract
Life support, imaging, anything past warranty
- Scheduled preventive visits
- Breakdown attendance
- Engineer labour
- Calibration, where applicable
- Service reports and history sheets
- Spare parts
- Assemblies (boards, blowers, motors)
Consumables, patient-contact accessories and physical damage stay out, named in the contract before you sign.
Budget
One fixed figure for the year
On call
No contract
One machine, one fault, no cover in place
- Engineer dispatched on the call
- On-site diagnosis and repair
- Workshop repair where it is needed
- Signed service report
Labour and parts are both quoted per visit. Nothing is scheduled, so nothing is prevented.
Budget
Per visit, quoted before we travel
Everything we do
5 services, 10 departments, 3 turnkey builds.
From a single instrument to a fitted operation theatre. What each job involves, what it costs you in downtime, and the work we turn down.
AMC & CMC contracts
An AMC covers labour (scheduled preventive visits, breakdown attendance and calibration) and bills spare parts separately as they are used. A CMC covers the same labour and includes the cost of spare parts in the annual fee. A CMC costs more per year and removes the risk of an unbudgeted repair bill.
Breakdown repair
When equipment stops, the question is not what is wrong with it: it is how long the department has to work without it. Call us and you get an engineer who already knows the machine, a diagnosis on the first visit wherever the fault allows it, and a straight answer about the part and the time.
Preventive maintenance
Most equipment failures announce themselves before they happen: a drifting calibration, a blocked filter, a battery that no longer holds, a bearing that has started to sound wrong. A preventive visit finds those on a Tuesday morning instead of during a case.
Calibration
A machine that runs is not the same as a machine that reads correctly. Calibration establishes what a device is actually delivering or measuring, corrects it where it has drifted, and produces the certificate that proves both, which is what an assessor asks for.
Installation & relocation
Equipment fails early far more often because of how it was installed than because of how it was built. We check the site before the machine arrives, commission it against its own specification, train the people who will use it, and hand over the documentation the hospital will need for the rest of the machine's life.
Modular operation theatre
A modular theatre is an airtight, cleanable room with controlled airflow, built from prefabricated panels rather than plaster and paint. It is specified as one system (panels, air handling, gas, pendants, lighting and table together) because every one of those decisions constrains the others.
Medical gas pipeline
A medical gas pipeline delivers oxygen to a patient through several hundred metres of copper and a dozen joints, and every one of those joints is a place where the wrong gas could reach the wrong outlet. It is installed to a standard, tested against that standard, and certified, in that order, without exception.
ICU setup
An intensive care bed is a services position, not a piece of furniture. Gas, power, vacuum, data, nurse call and monitoring all have to arrive at the same square metre, in the right quantity, without obstructing access to the patient from three sides. That is decided at design stage or it is not decided at all.

Engineering support for hospitals that can't afford downtime.
For more than two decades, Mediscan has maintained biomedical equipment for government hospitals, community health centres, specialty hospitals and private institutions across India. Our work spans preventive maintenance, emergency repair, installation and long-term service contracts.
Every service request is handled by experienced biomedical engineers. From inspection and fault diagnosis to calibration and return-to-service, each stage is carried out using established engineering procedures and documented service records.

Assessment
Equipment inspection, service history review and fault assessment performed on-site. Operating conditions are documented before diagnosis begins.
Diagnosis
Engineers identify the root cause through electrical, mechanical and functional testing. Wherever possible, faults are resolved during the first site visit.
Repair
Components are repaired or replaced, equipment is calibrated and performance is verified before returning it to clinical service with complete documentation.

Common questions
Not answered here? Call +91 98250 70790 and speak to someone who works on the equipment.
01What is the difference between an AMC and a CMC?
An annual maintenance contract covers scheduled preventive visits, breakdown attendance and labour; spare parts are billed separately as they are used. A comprehensive maintenance contract covers the same work with parts included in the annual fee. On critical care equipment we usually recommend CMC, a ventilator blower or a monitor main board costs more than the difference in fee, and waiting on a purchase approval is time the bed is not fully equipped.
02How quickly do you attend a breakdown?
Contract holders are attended ahead of everything else, and critical care equipment ahead of the rest. Response commitments are written into the contract rather than promised on a call, because the commitment is what a hospital is actually buying.
03Do you service equipment you did not supply?
Yes. Most of what we maintain was bought from someone else, often years ago. We regularly hold contracts on equipment whose manufacturer no longer keeps an engineer in the state. Where a fault genuinely needs proprietary service software we say so before charging for a visit, not after.
04Which departments do you cover?
Ten: ICU and critical care, operation theatre, orthopaedic power tools, imaging and radiology, laboratory, physiotherapy, gynaecology and neonatal, ophthalmology / ENT / dental, sterilisation, and hospital furniture. 104 machine types are named across the equipment index.
05Do you work with government hospitals and tenders?
We have fulfilled tendered servicing and maintenance duties for the ORET Project and carry out maintenance aligned to National Health Mission requirements. Civil hospitals, general hospitals, community health centres and urban health centres across Gujarat are a large part of our contract base.
06Where do you operate?
Across India, from the head office in Gandhinagar and the works in Dudheswar, Ahmedabad. Currently 95 institutions in 56 towns and cities. Supply and installation are scheduled against the order.
07Do you supply equipment as well as service it?
Yes, across all ten departments plus hospital furniture. Twenty-four years of repairing the same machines is also twenty-four years of knowing which models fail and how fast they come back, which is the useful part when a hospital is deciding what to buy.
08Can you build a new operation theatre or ICU, not just maintain one?
Yes. We deliver modular operation theatres, medical gas pipeline systems and ICU build-outs, including installation, commissioning and calibration. The argument for using us is simple: the people building it are the people who will maintain it.
09How is calibration handled?
Anything that measures or delivers a quantity is calibrated against reference instruments: delivered energy on a defibrillator, flow accuracy across the full range on an infusion pump, volume, pressure and FiO₂ on a ventilator. Results are documented, so the record exists when an inspection asks for it.
10How do I get a quotation?
Contract quotations follow a site inspection and equipment audit rather than a phone call, because a number given without seeing the equipment is a number that changes later. Call +91 98250 70790 or use the contact form to schedule an assessment.
